Warranty & support

Warranty cover and how to claim

What your equipment warranty covers, what it excludes, and the steps to log a claim with us in South Africa.

What is covered

Every item we supply carries the manufacturer or supplier warranty applicable to that model, covering manufacturing and material defects under normal commercial use in South Africa. This sits alongside the six-month implied warranty of quality given by section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

Warranty periods

Warranty periods differ per product and supplier — typically 6 to 12 months on commercial catering, refrigeration and bakery equipment, with some compressors and motors carrying longer cover. We confirm the exact period on your quote or invoice before you pay, so ask us for the warranty applicable to any item you are considering.

What is excluded

  • Normal wear parts: seals, gaskets, blades, belts, bulbs, filters, glass and castors.
  • Damage from incorrect voltage, load shedding surges, lightning or unstable power supply — we strongly recommend surge protection.
  • Damage from misuse, overloading, poor cleaning, scale build-up or lack of routine maintenance.
  • Incorrect installation, or gas and electrical work not done by a suitably qualified South African contractor.
  • Repairs, modifications or parts fitted by an unauthorised third party.
  • Cosmetic marks and rust caused by harsh chemicals or coastal exposure without proper care.
  • Consumables and items sold as clearance, display, ex-demo or as-is.

Keeping your warranty valid

  • Keep your invoice — it is proof of purchase and sets the warranty start date.
  • Follow the manufacturer's operating and cleaning instructions.
  • Use a certified electrician or gas practitioner for installation and connection.
  • Service refrigeration and bakery equipment at the recommended intervals and keep the records.
  • Report faults promptly rather than continuing to run a faulty unit.

How to claim

  • 1. WhatsApp or email us with your invoice number, the model and a clear description of the fault.
  • 2. Send photos or a short video of the fault and the unit's data plate where possible.
  • 3. We log the claim with the supplier and confirm whether an on-site technician, a workshop repair or a swap-out applies.
  • 4. We keep you updated in writing until the repair, replacement or credit is completed.

Turnaround and parts

Most warranty assessments are logged with the supplier within one trading day. Repair time depends on technician availability in your province and on parts stock; imported parts can take longer. We will always tell you the expected timeline once the supplier confirms it.

Out-of-warranty support

We continue to help after your warranty ends. Contact us for spares, service referrals and replacement recommendations, and we will point you to the right supplier channel for your unit.
